God has called us to step into and walk out our divine purpose. This means that the Church needs to get over pursuing positions and titles and instead focus on what God called us to do. In Jesus’ time the Pharisees and Sadducees were so focused on their titles and positions that they became blind to the will of God. In John 9, Jesus healed a man who had been born blind. However, the Pharisees weren’t excited this miracle, instead they were more concerned about how this affected their authority and position. Titles are fleeting and the praises of men will pass away. Rather let us choose to focus on pleasing the Lord almighty. It is for our sake and for the sake of the nations.
