God’s promises are unchanging, and once we repent, our past mistakes are forgiven and forgotten. Success in life often escapes us not because we lack potential, but because we fail to follow the instructions God gives. This failure is usually rooted in selfishness, pride, or a belief that we can rely solely on our own understanding. True growth and holiness come through obedience, humility, and a willingness to seek God’s guidance rather than making our own assumptions. We’re called to be wise, discerning, and to honor our word—if we say we’ll do something, we must follow through. It’s dangerous to live as though we’ve never heard or understood God’s truth. We must not make promises we can’t keep, and we should always return to God for direction, remembering that our relationship with Him sets us apart.
